Holidays not blogged about

Now I am just doing some catch up.

For Halloween, London was the cutest Lady Bug!  We went to a halloween party at Dave’s sister Kathy’s house.  It was lots of fun.  I also took London to my parent’s ward trunk or treat.  She loved it!

The only picture I have from Thanksgiving is from Black Friday shopping!  This was the gang waiting in line at Target.  Dave and I ended up buying a fridge at Home Depot for our house, great deal!!

Christmas morning 2011 was spent at my mom’s house.  We were still living with Dave’s parents during Christmas and decided to head to my mom’s for Lou to open presents with her cousin Luke.  London’s big Christmas present from Santa was her big kitchen.  She got a shopping cart and food to go along with it.  She also got some books and clothes.  Dave and I went up to SLC for a night out and we also got tickets for Brad Paisley (January) and Wicked (not until July).  All London wanted to do was sit in this chair that my dad got.

There were two opportunities London got to meet Santa.  The first time she was just fine.  The second time, not so much!

I made a cute Valentine’s Day shirt for Lou, here she is modeling it!

For St. Patrick’s day we wore our green.

That night we went for Sushi with my family.  And in case you were wondering, London likes sushi!

Grandpa

So after visiting sweet baby Ruby in Vegas, I returned back home to be with London.  The day after returning home, my sweet Grandpa passed away.

He had been sick, but had been doing very good.  This news was very unexpected.  I received the call from my dad and  I was in complete shock.

It really was a hard couple of weeks.  But I also learned a lot and received lots of comfort from my father in heaven.  You see, my grandpa passed away on October 22, 2011 and Ruby passed away only 4 days later on October 26.

I think my biggest comfort was in having a very comforting feeling that my grandpa needed to go be with Ruby.  I know he is with her now, watching over her, until she can once again be with her mom, dad, and brother.

Love you and miss you Gramps.  Come again soon…

Ruby June

I know it has been a long time since I last posted.  I was never the best blogger in the first place, but then lots happened and really weighed on my heart on how I express (post) my feelings.

Have you ever met someone that changed your life?  I have.

Her name is Ruby June Warburton.  Just these few lines make my eyes water.

Ruby June Warburton is my niece.  She was born on October 11, 2011.  Ruby was not meant to stay on this earth though.  Ruby returned to her father in heaven 15 days later.

In those 15 days she touched more lives than anyone I know.  And her love, and strength, and compassion still continues to teach me.

My sister Kristin, her husband Jared, and my nephew Luke live in Las Vegas.  This is where Ruby was born.  I was very fortunate to be able to go and stay for a week to meet Ruby and be with family.  Ruby spent her 15 days on this earth in the NICU.  Her bed side was one of the most spiritual and celestial places I have ever been.  I could have stayed there all day.

Ruby passed away on October 26, 2011.  Kristin and her family brought Ruby to Utah to be buried and to have a funeral service.  The service was so inspirational.  I admire my sister and her husband for their strength and their examples.

Everyday something reminds me of Ruby and her sweet spirit.  And I am constantly grateful for our guardian angel.

P.S. I have never been the best at writing to express my feelings.  So to learn more about Ruby visit here and here.
