When Dave and I first moved back from Vegas we only planned on living with his parents for 3 or 4 months until we found somewhere to buy or rent. We didn’t want to rush into a place since we only had a week to move back up, and we basically wanted to buy instead of rent.
Well now it has been almost a year since we have lived with them. However, there is an end in sight. Our home should be done in 3-5 weeks (not fully sure the exact date.) You see, when we first starting looking at houses, the best thing out there for us and what we wanted and our price range, was to build. We decided to build a townhome in Santaquin so we could take advantage of the rural housing loan. This meant though that we would have to wait until 50% (3 units) were under contract before they would begin construction.
Construction was suppose to begin in October and after waiting forever for the city to grant the permits, ground was broken the end of December. Here are some pics of the progress, and I will continue to post more these next few weeks as it will be getting closer to be done! YAY!!!
This is the kitchen. This first picture shows our pantry!

The house has an unfinished basement. It has a 2 car garage, and on the main floor is a mud area, 1/2 bath, living/family room, kitchen and dining area. The upper floor has 3 bedrooms, a nook, 2 bathrooms, and a laundry room!
Stay tuned for more updates!

I know how long you have been waiting and now the end is finally in sight!
Looks good. I am so excited for you. I hope it happens sooner rather than later. It looks really cute.
Wahoo! I can't wait to come see it when it is finally finished. I may be staying with you instead of mom, haha!
