Also while my sister was here we decided to do family pictures with my mom’s side of the family. We finally have a picture with everyone. Dave and I have been really bad and this is actually our first little family picture as well.

My oldest sister and her family came to Utah for a month to visit. It was such a good time spent with her and her kids. For those of you that know my sister, you know she is very talented at all she does. So while she was here I had her do London’s one year pictures. They turned out so cute!!

My sister also did London’s birthday announcement. I blurred out a part of it, so that weird area really didn’t look like that.

London’s First Birthday

I am way behind on my blogging, but I finally downloaded Windows Live Writer which should make blogging easier for me so I will keep it updated more. London’s birthday was July 28. I decided to do a Minnie Mouse theme party since she has already been to Disneyland 3 times. It turned out really cute and we had a great time.

Please bare with me for all of these pictures, but you only turn one once. I was able to talk my mom and sister into helping me with some of the food. We did Minnie mouse rice krispie treats, white chocolate dipped oreos with sprinkles, strawberry minnie mouse cupcakes, ice cream, and of course London’s minnie mouse smash cake. I also left some cupcakes undecorated for the kids to decorate themselves.

London was all dressed up with her minnie mouse outfit and ears. But as soon as it was cake time she was stripped down to enjoy it!!

After enjoying her yummy cake, London opened her presents. She still isn’t quite into the opening part so she had plenty of help from her cousins that really understand the present thing.

We are so grateful for all of our families that were able to be with us to celebrate London. We are so grateful for London everyday and can’t believe how blessed we are to have her. She continues to love new things everyday and is constantly surprising us!

Disneyland June 2011

Well we took London to Disneyland for her 3rd time before she is even 1! We had a lot of fun. We went with Dave's parents and his two younger brothers and their wives. London was the only kid that was able to tag along though, besides little Maddilyn that is in Sarah's tummy, lol! We went for 4 days and although it was a busy time of year we had a good time. We were able to ride the new Little Mermaid ride at Cali Adventures and the new redone Star Tours at Disneyland. We did lots of pin trading, walking, riding, and eating. One of my recent favorites is the animation academy in California Adventures were you can draw disney characters. This time we only had time to do it once, but I drew Donald Duck. All in all, we can't wait until next time. Here are some fun pictures, I don't have any pictures of the rest of the group because these are all from my iPhone.

Nestle 5k Fun Run!

So my mother in law asked me to do the Nestle 5k fun run with her. She told me she was just going to walk it and that I could push London her in stroller. Dave ended up doing it with us too. We had a lot of fun! There were so many people and lots of families. There were also lots of people who walked and pushed strollers, so I didn't feel so bad! I think this might be a new tradition. Maybe next year I will actually try running it, lol!

London is 10 months old! She is such a joy! Here are some more fun facts.

~started to actually cuddle a bit since her first hit of the flu a week ago. We hated that you were sick but I can't complain about the cuddling

My 25th Birthday

So my birthday was amidst all of the moving. Dave was actually already in Utah. So my great friends in Henderson got together and we all went out to dinner at Cafe Rio. YUM!! It was a great night. Then we were able to head to Utah that weekend and Dave gave me a new bike for my birthday! I am so excited to start riding, I found a bike trailer at a garage sale in Vegas for $2!! It was a very different birthday, but I have to say the best birthday present was finding out we were moving back to Utah!

The BIG move (long post...explanation and all)

So as most of you know, almost 2 years ago, Dave and I moved to Las Vegas/Henderson. We moved there for Dave to do a Master's program at UNLV. Most of you also know that the same year we moved there, Dave had a horrible health scare. We spent almost 2 weeks in the hospital, over Christmas, and then he was still on IV's and home health for about a month following.
Well after that, the next semester of school was not even in the picture. There was no way that Dave could have went back for Spring still being hooked up to IV's. So we decided he would take that semester off.
Well in the midst of the semester off and lots of thinking and analyzing, Dave decided that he really wasn't even enjoying the program anyway and he knew that wasn't for him. So we stayed in Vegas, and began the process of trying to figure out what was our next step. Dave's mind has been here and there with what to do. Dave has worked for Costco for the last 5 years and they are a great company. Well, we decided that with the way the economy has been and with the fact that Costco really is an awesome company to work for, we decided maybe he should just stay with Costco and start working his way into management.
We really wanted to try and get back to Utah to do this so that in the end we would be close to family. Little did we know how hard it would be to transfer back. Although Costco had not let anyone go with the low economy, they had put on a hiring and transfer freeze. So after about 9 months or so of calls, and faxes, and visits, and prayers (lots of prayers), etc, we finally got the call. And it was to the exact Costco location we wanted to be and at the perfect time-our lease would be up in about 3 weeks.
With that being said, Dave had about 1 week to get up to Utah to start work. I finished out my 2 weeks of work in Vegas. My mom and dad came down to load up our stuff, and Dave and my dad headed back to Utah to load it into a storage unit. My mom stayed with my for my last week of work to help me get the apartment cleaned and to watch London for my while I had to work. I cannot thank my parents enough for all they did. We moved most of our stuff into a storage unit because of the short notice we had to get up to Utah. We moved in with Dave's parents until we can find a place. Funny story behind that, is that Dave's parents were out of the country and came home to new roommates! They were very happy though. Well now that I have told the story, I will share a few pictures of our last days in Vegas.

There are many great friends we made in Henderson, and you will all be missed!! We will especiall miss all of the great people from the South Valley Ranch ward!! London, my mom and I were able to go to dinner with some of our really great friends Riley and Diana and their two boys, Chase and Blake, before we left. London just loves Chase and Blake, we will miss you guys!

Murder Mystery Work Party

So the office that I worked for in Vegas has two big events each year. They are corporate, so there are 5 offices total. They usually do a bowling party in the fall and then some other event in the spring.

This year we did a murder mystery dinner party.

It was lots of fun! They hired a group of people that write these murder mysteries and actually come and are a part of the group and tell their story for you to figure it out.

The theme was set in the 50's (I think, can't quite remember ), so everyone dressed up. It was fun to see everyone's outfits!

There were prizes galore. 6 TV's and an iPad. Unfortunately, I did not win any of them. But I still had a good time.

9 months....a little late on the post

So a lot has happened over the last month or so, and I will continue to post and explain, but just know that is why I am late on a lot of posts.

London is now 9 months old, and I cannot believe how fast it has gone. She continues to be such a joy and I love every minute with her.
Here are some new milestones.

-You still only have both bottom teeth (as you can see in the picture above)-no new ones yet

-Began army crawling around 8 months old

-only weighed 15 lbs at 9 month check up-still very petite, but oh so cute!

-LOVES food!! You would think she would be bigger by how much she eats. Loves avocados, fruit, mac and cheese, and pretty much anything that mommy is eating you throw a fit until you get some too!

-You are very smiley-you flirt with everyone you see

-You are still very much a momma's girl

-you love to sit and jabber in your crib

-you love watching bigger kids play-you wish you could run around and play with them

Dave's Birthday

This is way past due. Dave's 29th birthday was the end of March and I am pretty proud of what I planned for him this year. Dave loves hunting, guns, shooting, etc. I, on the other hand, am not as thrilled with the above as he. However, I had a very awesome patient/friend that got me a great deal to take Dave shooting at an indoor shooting range for his birthday. He (or should I say we) had a blast. We both got 100 rounds each with a semi machine gun, 100 rounds each with a regular machine gun, and 50 rounds each with a handgun. Everyone at the range stopped and stared when we were shooting the machine guns because they were so loud and all of the other men there were jealous of Dave. All in all, I have to say I think that will be a birthday Dave will remember for a long time to come.

Photo Shoot in Arkansas

The middle of February, London and I took a trip to Arkansas. Yes, I ventured on a 3+ hour flight alone with London but she happened to do pretty well for a 6-1/2 month old.

My oldest sister lives in Arkansas and we were headed to spend time with her and her family for a week. My other sister and my mom joined us a few days later and we had an excellent most needed girls week.

We laughed, ate, played, shopped and enjoyed!!

While there, my oldest sister Andrea, who is amazing at everything she does, offered to do London's 6 monthish pictures. Even though it was the only day London was somewhat grumpy they turned out very cute.

Wrong about the tooth

So about a month ago, Dave and I thought London was cutting her first tooth. But it was something on the top that we could feel. She had all the cranky symptoms but it ended up not being a tooth.
But low and behold about 2 days ago, the first one finally came through. Yay!! We had a couple of cranky nights, up until midnight or so because of it, but we made and still have many more to go!
We love you London!!

Here are some of your new milestones

-So you really hadn't cut a tooth before, but you do have one now. The left lower central finally worked its way through

-You can sit up all by yourself and love viewing the world from that perspective

-You love your exersaucer and can play in it for over an hour

Puzzle Project

I bought a custom made puzzle for London at a craft fair in Utah and planned on painting it sometime soon. Well I finally got to it and we are going to give it to her for Valentines day. Dave added the beautiful knobs so that she can pick the pieces up easier. I love how it turned out!

Sick Baby

Cars

So Dave does not have ANY luck with cars.
Since we have been married he has totaled, well 3 now (none of which were his fault)
Two were wrecks which just happened to be within a month of each other and the 3 was well stolen.

Yes I said STOLEN.

About a week and a half ago Dave walked out to go to work and found that his car was not were he had left it. In fact it was no where to be found.
He came back inside to tell me his car had been stolen. He was laughing at the situation because there was really nothing else he could do, I on the other hand did not find it funny AT ALL! Another car...really?

Well we filed a police report (at that point we were told that they have an 85% success of finding cars, but also told that Honda Civics, Dave's car, is the #1 car stolen in America...great!)

Well we got a call about 2 nights later, at 4 a.m. might I add. It had been found abandoned in a parking lot and was being taken to a tow yard. We went to see the car later that day once we were actually awake. Lets just say it had been taken for quite the joyride and the insurance ended up totaling it out.

I can't believe people. The only things that were taken were the cd player and our apt complex gate opener, yet they still had to trash the rest of the car? It reaked of smoke, ash everywhere, cig burns all over, big dent through the hood, and dents on the roof, etc.

Well after much sulking from me, because we had just recently paid off my car and were car payment free (for like a week) we got to looking for a new car. We decided that now might be our opportunity to upgrade to an SUV since even after just one kid you feel like you take your whole house when you travel. We ended up going through a guy my dad knows well that goes to the car auction here in Vegas. All of the cars were previous rentals and/or leases and have no major problems/damage. We ended up getting an AMAZING deal and fairly quick too. We are really excited with our new car. Check it out.

London is 6 months old, and I cannot believe it!
Here are some more of her new things!

-Cut a tooth at 6 months exactly, and it is the top left central (tooth F for all those in the dental field)

-Rolling all over the place, I have been learning to baby proof and quickly

-Still so happy, but did get your first sickness/cold at 6 months as well and had a rough few days

-Quite the little jabberer...starting to say little squabbles and really starting to find your voice

-Trying hard to sit up on your own

-Love playing with your keys and noise book

-Love rice cereal and baby food. Not a picky eater..you have enjoyed every fruit and vegetable you have tried

We love you London, everyday is a great adventure with you!!

I am ready for a new year, a better year, and a better me.

New things. New adventures. New goals.

I look forward to a fun year filled with friends, family, and fun.

Dave and I set quite a few goals together.

More family time, more family prayer, more scripture study, more journal writing, and more financial stability.

We are going to be working hard this year with a new plan and a new budget to get our school loan debt paid off quicker and work toward being debt free. I am really looking forward to this!!

First hair cut

London had SO much hair when she was born. Well it is finally starting to fall out :(

She basically is going bald on the sides and back and then has this big long clump on the top of her head. We decided it was time to cut the top part to try and blend a little better!

Rolling over

London rolls from her back to her belly every time we lay her on the floor. Then she gets so mad because she cannot figure out how to turn back to her back. We caught her rolling on video tape and then it just so happens we caught the one time she rolled back to her back.

5 months...I am so behind

I cannot even believe how time flies. I completely forgot to post when London when 4 months, and if I wait any longer I will have missed the 5 month as well.

London is so much fun, I love watching her grow. Here are some fun facts about London.

~rolling over (but only from back to belly-which I hear is harder, she just can't quite figure how to get back to her back)

~weighing around 12 lbs...you are very little and petite. You are wearing 3 month clothes and some are still a little big

~You are a great sleeper and sleep 10-12 hours a night

~You love to laugh. You have the cutest giggles, and daddy knows just how to find them

~You are so smart. I will see your binky anywhere, grab it and stick it in your mouth. Very good hand/eye coordination

~You love your rice cereal and recently have started eating it with sweet potatoes. You are a great eater.

~You love grabbing for your toys and one of your favorite things to play with is the costco wipe container

We love you so much London. You bring so much joy into our lives!!

Christmas 2010

We had a great Christmas! We decided not to brave the cold weather and icy roads of Utah and spent Christmas in Vegas!

We went to our ward Christmas party, hung out with good friends, and spent lots of time together as our own little family!

London enjoyed her presents, but mostly the wrapping paper, lol!

London got some new toys, a jumper/bouncer, a some new christmas jammies!

We hope your Christmas was filled with as much joy as ours.

London has begun laughing so much. This video was in Utah over Thanksgiving. My dad had her laughing so good.

This video was at our home and Dave had her going. It is rare she will keep laughing once she sees the camera but she did these two times!

Bass Pro Shop, Santa, and Aquarium

Last night we took London to see Santa at the Bass Pro Shop.

They do FREE Santa pictures, you can't beat that!

London actually cried when we handed her over to Santa, (which I would have never thought she would do, she is so mild), but she quickly calmed down and we snapped a cute picture. The Elves also take a picture and give it took you in a little paper frame!

We were with some of our friends, Riley and Diana and their two boys-Blake and Chase. We went to see the aquarium afterwards right next to the Bass Pro shop in the Silverton. It was really cool! London liked it, but you couldn't tear Blake or Chase away from, they loved it!

All in all we had a very fun night!

Snacks anyone?

However, we recently organized all of our snack food into a shoe rack that hangs on our pantry door (thanks to Diana) and now Daves says I can no longer complain about not being able to find a snack!

Apartment Complex Christmas Party

Only captured one picture...however we did win a $25 Visa giftcard. I wanted to take London down and see what she thought of Santa...however there were too many kids to even get close. We did enjoy some hot chocolate and everyone there was attacking London because they thought she was so cute. Stay tuned though because we did take London to see Santa elsewhere.

Rice Cereal

Halloween

We were in Utah for Halloween this year. Dave's little brother got married. So we took London to the trunk or treat at my parent's church and then we took London around to a bunch of family members house so they could see how cute she looked. We didn't do much but spending time with family is what matters most to me so we had a good time. Check out our cute little lamb!

I cannot believe it! Where does the time go? It apparently goes way too fast because I missed a two month old post. We love you so much London and you are so much fun!! Here are some of the fun things we love!
-You are such a big smiler!! You have just recently started to giggle at 12 wks!
-You love the fan
-You like watching the elliptical, you get mad when it stops
-You are an awesome sleeper!! You sleep 12 hours each night (8-8), you started this when you were 9 wks old!
-You are a good little eater and still nurse. Daddy feeds you pumped milk when Mommy is at work.
-You love to suck on your hands.
-You are a good little coo talker
-You love having visitors (hint hint)
-You like to go on walks in your stroller
-You are a very content baby and like to play on your blanket on the floor
-You are very much a TV baby (maybe not the best thing, but at least I know that can keep you entertained if I need to do something)

-You still have lots of hair and it has only lightened a little

Disneyland Sept 2010

We went to Disneyland with Dave's family at the end of September. London was only 8-1/2 wks....am I crazy or what? It was really fun though and London did really well. Dave got me a sewing machine for Christmas and I have just barely begun using it. I have been wanting to make London some cute appliqued onesies and some baby legs. I finally succeeded. I made five different onesies: Mickey Mouse, Pear, Flower, Bird, and the letter L. We are going to Disneyland in a week with Dave's family and then in November with my fam so I really wanted to make her a Mickey Mouse shirt. I really love how it turned out. Also I wanted some baby legs to wear with the onesies to kind of make the outfit cuter and keep her legs warm since she doesn't really fit into pants...shes just too little! Lots of people think she looks like a little jazzerciser in them but I like it. I will post some pics of her in the outfits soon but until then, here are the projects laid out.

London's baby blessing

We traveled to Utah over Labor Day weekend to see family and friends and to bless London. It was such a special day. Dave gave a beautiful blessing and London looked absolutely beautiful. We got a few pictures with London but I wish I would have gotten some with just her. London happened to poop all over her blessing dress right after sacrament meeting (she had a blow out stage of life) so we snapped a few pictures and then changed her.

We had so many people that came to support London on her big day and we are grateful to everyone that came. Once again I wish I would have taken more pictures of everyone and the luncheon...what was I thinking? Oh well. After the blessing we headed across the street to a pavillion for a luncheon.

Also Labor day weekend is pretty big in my home town, so we were able to spend time with family, go to the parade, have a yummy boil, and enjoy our time. Here are the pictures we did happen to get of the blessing.

One Month....Time flies!!

I cannot believe London is a month old already!! She is so much fun. We have been trying to adjust to the lack of sleep but wouldn't ask for anything else! Just wanted to share a few facts and things about Miss London that I love at one month old.

~Mommy and Daddy call you Lou Lou and you respond well to your name and nickname.

~You sleep in your swing because your crib isn't set up yet and you don't love the portacrib.

~You have to have your left arm kept out of your blanket when we wrap you up or you squirm and cry til its out.

~You just recently started sleeping from 9:30-5 and mommy hopes it stays that way.

~You have an overactive gag reflex.

~You love to look at the light coming in through windows or the color on the TV.

~You are sometimes ticklish on your feet but other times like them to be rubbed.

~You love to stretch.

~I love your hair. I how it is curly when it is wet and how when it is straight it just wants to stand up all over the place!

~I love how you hold my hand or my shirt when you nurse.

~I love your smile...sometimes you do it when we talk to you but mostly just when your falling to sleep.

~I love how you grunt.

~I love your cute little toes and how you kick your feet when you are hungry.

~I love it when you stick out your tongue.

~I love your cute outie belly button...don't know if it will stay that way, but I love it!

~I love your dimples.

~I love the facial expressions you make with your eyebrows.

~I love that you like to snuggle!!

~I love how you are so content when you take a bath. You love the water!

~I love that you like to nurse. It truly is a special bonding time between us!

London Ina Robbins

Annoucing the birth of London Ina Robbins.

Born July 28, 2010 at 7:13pm. She weighed 6lbs 13 oz and 19 inches long. She is absolutely beautiful and we feel so blessed to have her in our lives.

A little background on the birth. I went to the hospital Tuesday night (the 27th) at 10:00pm to be induced. When we got there we thought the pitocin would be start or my water would be broke or something of the sort to induce labor. I was checked first and was still only dilated to about a 2 and 70-80% effaced. The nurse told us that she was going to put something called a cervadil in to help me thin out the rest of the way and hopefully make my labor progress. She said it had to stay in for 12 hours and would maybe cause some cramping but basically I would be able to just sleep through the night and have lunch the next day before they started the pitocin. The cervidil was put in around 11pm and immediately I started contracting. Lets just say it was not the easy sleepful night she had explained. Baby's heartbeat sped up because of the immediate stress so I was pumped full of fluids pretty quick to help calm her. London's heartbeat came back down but I was in lots of pain. There wasn't much they could give me to help so I had quit the rough night. The next morning around 10am my water broke so they took the cervidil out to get me started. I talked the nurse into letting me get the epideral before the pitocin because the contractions I was already having were already enough pain and the pitocin would make them 4 times stronger. She agreed and went to get the nurse anesthetist. However, there were 2 emergencies c-sections going on that he was stuck in and the anesthesiologist was stuck in surgery. After waiting in much pain for 2 and a half hours I finally got my epideral between 3 and 3:30. Let me tell you that it was night and day after that. Epiderals are AMAZING! The nurse checked me before starting the pitocin and I was a 4 from my water breaking. The pitocin was started and she said she would come back and check me again in 2 hours. I slept those two hours...crazy I know. My contractions were coming in 4-5 times harder than before, and I was asleep!! Really epiderals are amazing! The nurse ended up coming in back in and checking me around 6. I was hoping I had atleast progressed to a 6. She checked and with a big shock on her face said, "Oh wow, you are a 9!" She told me to let her know when I started feeling pressure and she would come back and we could start pushing. It was probably only 20-30 minutes later that she was back to start pushing. She started the pushing with me before my doctor came in....I probably ended up pushing for 40 minutes total and our little angel was born. Dave and my mom were both in the room with me to help me through and that moment was amazing!! London was put up on my chest before she was taken to be weighed and cleaned and she was so calm and beautiful! I feel so blessed!! I never knew I could have so much love for someone so quickly!

So I have another pic of my bump I have been meaning to post. It was taken about a week and a half ago. I was just a little over 38 weeks. Now I am due TOMORROW!! However, I don't know if she is ready to come?? I do have a day set to be induced but I am not going to post it because I still want to hear everyones guesses for when she will come.

Also, since we are moving the nursery has not been set up yet, but I have still been trying to get all the stuff together for it. I am doing pink, green, and black. The crib bedding I ended up finding is pink and black though so I needed to be creative with ways to add green to the room. I decided one way would be with a lamp so I made one, and heres the result! Do you love it?

The past three months

Ok so it has been a really long time since we have posted. What has happened since our last post?

-We celebrated Dave's 28th birthday in March

-We went to Utah over Easter and was able to be together with all of my family for the first time ever!!

-We went to Disneyland (of course) in April....it was kind of our last hoorah with our season passes since they expired the first of June and we wanted to go before I was too big and pregnant

-We celebrated my 24th birthday in April (wow that seems so much older than 23)

-We went to Utah a few times in May but after the last trip over memorial day weekend we decided no more until after the baby. I was 32 weeks pregnant at the time...the 5 hour car ride both ways was too much and the altitude in utah made my feet swell up like bricks!

-We put an offer in on a home but are kind of in limbo of whether or not we will get it. It is a short sale (which take a long time) and our lease is up in July and I am due in July. We are a little stressed about the situation right now but are positive everything will work out!

-We celebrated our 5 year anniversary. Wow, time flies! I cannot believe that we have been married for 5 years. We didn't do much on the day of because of our opposite work schedules, but we did go out to dinner that weekend. I am so excited for many more great years with Dave!

I am now 35 weeks pregnant...crazy!!! We are so excited for Baby London to get here! It has definitely heated up in Vegas and when I am not working I am at the pool trying to stay cool. Dave's still at Costco and has not started back up at school since his appendix incidence. Dave has actually decided to change directions in career goals and is now studying to take the LSAT. I am excited for him and just want him to be happy with whatever he decides to pursue. I will continue to work full time until the baby comes or until my body lets me. I finally took another baby bump picture at 34 weeks that I will post below. We will try and get updated more often, especially after Baby London joins our family!!!

My sister Kristin, her husband Jared, and their cute baby boy Luke came down and visited us over Valentine/President's Day weekend. We had lots of fun just hanging out, watching movies, playing games, etc. I was able to get a few pictures of Luke, but he is a little stinker and won't smile when that camera comes out. On Monday they wanted to go to Boulder Dam so we drove down before they had to take off later that day. That was the only place I got a picture of us all and our weekend together. We are so happy they were able to get away and come to stay with us. We miss you guys already and can't wait until Luke has a little cousin/friend to play with.

Hoover Dam

Last weekend Dave and I really needed to get out of the house and go do something. We decided to go see Hoover Dam since it is only like 15-20 minutes from our house. It was really amazing. To see it all and think of all the people that built it and it was in the 30's....it is crazy to think how they did it without all the modernized equipment we have now-a-days. There is also a brand new bridge being built as a bypass to the dam, so trucks and stuff can drive through and also because the canyon to get to the dam is so windy. The bridge was also amazing...but terrifying to me too. It is SO big and SO high! On the way back home we decided to stop in Boulder City because we had heard a few things about it. It is such a cute little town. And it is the only city in Nevada where gambling is illegal...no casinos. It was a very small town but they had lots of cute little shops and a cute little main street. We really had a great time.

Well on Sunday Dec. 20th, Dave had been having really bad stomach pains especially on his right lower side. We called my brother-in-law, Jonathan, who is a doctor, and asked him if he thought we should go to the ER or wait til the next day. Jonathan said it sounded like appendicitis and to get to the ER. We headed down and after a very long night they booked Dave in a room to go in for surgery in the morning. They were sure what was going on because on the cat scan there was too much inflammation, so the surgeon said she would just have to open him up and see. Once in surgery, the surgeon said she could see his colon with a hole in it, which hopefully his appendix was also attached too, and a LOT of infection! She said she removed about a softball size of infection, part of his colon with the appendix and some of his small intestine. It has been quite the wk of recovery. Both my parents and Dave's parents were able to come down and help out and also be here for Christmas which I am so grateful for! It got pretty rough some of the days, but Dave is doing a lot better!! He had a pick line placed tonight so he can hopefully come home tomorrow afternoon and have someone continue to come to our house with the antibiotics. I am so grateful for all of the love and support and prayers through all of this. We were looking forward to coming home for Christmas because we have some very exciting news, but we are glad we were still able to share it with everyone! I am pregnant! We are so excited! I am ten weeks along, and my due date is July 24th. I have been sick and it has not been fun! It has made this past week a bit more emotional so once again we are very grateful for everyones prayers and especially for both of our parents who not only gave Dave support, but really helped me out, as I was kind of a wreck. We love you all and will keep everyone posted on more baby news!

So I have had like 6 interviews this week. Thank goodness that dental hygiene jobs finally popped up in Vegas. I feel very blessed and like my prayers have been answered. Well after all these interviews, I was offered a job. I took a few days to think about it because it is an office that has never had a hygienist and needs a lot of help changing things around. After much discussion with Dave, thinking on my own, and prayers to my father in heaven...I decided I would take it. It is two days a wk and she (the Dr.) let me decide what days I wanted. I am starting on Dec. 1st and I am going to be working Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. I decided on those days because the other interviews that I am still waiting to hear from or for either Monday, Thursday, or Friday. One of my interviews was actually with a female dentist that went to dental school with the dentist that I worked for in Heber, Dr. Lobrot. She doesn't know if her hygiene schedule is going to start picking up more, but if it does, she wants me to work on Thursday and Fridays. I do have a working interview on Monday for a Monday only job, and then I have one on Friday with the dentist that went to school with Dr. Lobrot. I also am temping in an office next week on Thursday and then the following Tuesday at the same office. I am really excited about all of these opportunities that have been coming my way recently. I truly know I have been blessed!!

So I did finally get my nevada hygiene license about two days ago, so now I am on hunt for a job. Nobody is hiring, so I hope I can find somewhere. However, with Dave being gone on work every night, I have started baking/cooking alot. I have always enjoy cooking, I just always hated deciding what to make and I don't really like grocery shopping either. Anyway, a few months ago, my mom and I went to an amazing bread making class so I decided I would play with that and try and make a few different things. I make bread and pizza all the time with it, but I thought I would try some other things. Here is what I made:

PS...It all tastes delicious!! I recommend the pantry secrets bread making class to anyone. It is amazing, and it is so easy! Start to finish in 1 hour!

Food, Food, and more Food

Ok, so Dave and I are pretty big lovers of food. My parents were down this last weekend with the Tuttles (the friends) and we were able to go to the Seafood Buffet with them. This is one of their favorite places. They come to Vegas 1-2 times a year with their friends and they always go to the Rio Seafood Buffet. I got some good photos of all of our yummy food!

Also, Dave is a HUGE burger fan! Did I say huge? Anyway, there is a burger joint in Vegas called Fatburger and it is pretty good. However, there menu is burgers by sizes...so you can order a S, M, L, XL, XXL, or XXXL. Dave and I went there the other night and of course Dave had to get the XXXL. He had already gotten it when I was away in Arkansas but for some reason he had to prove to me that he really could eat it. I told him I already knew he could and that it would make him sick. (Of course his tummy was not feeling very good that night, but I managed to get some pictures of the burger before he devoured it!)

And last but not least I had to post some pictures of the fun, yummy dessert I made over conference weekend. Thanks to bakerella.com (you need to check out that website) we were able to enjoy these fun treats. They are called cake pops on the website because she actually puts them on a stick like suckers but I just made cake balls instead. They are red velvet with cream cheese frosting and then they are dipped in milk chocolate or white chocolate. Yummy, especially with milk!!!

Since I have had a lot of time on my hands lately since I am not working yet, I decided I needed to do some projects. The first thing I have started with is homemade headbands. I made about 8 to start with, but I am still working on others that I had ideas for. Here are some pictures of how they turned out...I quite like them. Long time gone...

Bear with me, I have so much catching up to do. Dave moved to Las Vegas in August and began school and work. I stayed in Utah at my parents (thanks mom and dad) for all of August to work. So each weekend during the month apart either I came to Veags and Dave came to Utah.
One weekend while in Vegas, Dave wanted me to make him some pizzas to have throughout the week. I was making the dough and Dave was helping cut and cook the toppings and I had just preheated the oven. Well I went to get a pan out and saw smoke coming out of the sides of the oven. I opened up the oven door and there were flames bursting out. We were freaking out. We didn't know if it was grease or gas (our oven is gas) so after trying to figure out what do to Dave poured a little water on it and it started putting it out. He kept just pouring water on it with a 1/4 c measuring cup until he realized to grab our big pitcher from the fridge. Our fire alarm was so loud and there was smoke everywhere. No one ever came out to see what was going on though, which is weird since our apt is townhome style and is hooked to many others. There was water everywhere after the fire was out put there was no damage anywhere thank goodness. After putting out the fire, we realized that when we had put everything away my mother and I put my hot pads in the drawer under the oven not thinking it was electrical. Well when I preheated the oven, it lights in that drawer and started the mits on fire. It was pretty scarey during but we are glad it turned out ok. We got a few pictures after of the drawer and also of what happened to the dough during all of the commotion.

I thought I would be getting my dental hygiene license in Nevada mid August however Nevada requires a lot more things than Utah and to say the least I was waiting on a background check that came through after the nevada board met in August. Then to make things worse, we found out that the board doesn't meet again until October. We thought we would be living apart for another month so I could keep working. Neither of us were too fond of the idea, so Dave said NO WAY and that I was moving down the first of September. I couldn't argue with that. A month to relax in Vegas, and of course I missed Dave like crazy!!
So I moved down the day after labor day, and then I actually left for Arkansas two days later to help my sister. I had so much fun out their. I love my sister and her family. She is such a great example to me. I did take my camera with me but my battery was dead (oops) so no pictures. However, my time was spent helping out my sister because she is on moderate bed rest with her fourth child, so I got to play with my nephews and niece and just helped her out where ever else she needed it. I came back to Vegas after about 5 days and now I am here for good. I am going to take some pictures of our apartment soon and I will post them. However this past weekend, spur of the moment, Dave and I made a Disneyland run. We have season passes and it is only about 4 hours away. Here are some pictures of our fun time.... Goodbye Lindon

Dave and I are officially moved out as of today! A huge thanks to my parents for all of there help. My mom literally helped me box everything up and clean my whole apartment. My dad got a trailer for us to haul everything down to Vegas in, packed everything into the trailer, and also helped clean! What amazing parents!! I am sad to leave our wonderful apartment, it is crazy that we have lived there for 3-1/2 years. I think that Dave and I will always think of that place as our first (even though it wasn't) but I think we blocked the others out and we have been in Lindon so long. I am also excited for our new adventure. We just found out that the business costco in Vegas (one of four costcos in the vegas area) accepted Dave's transfer, so he will start working there in August. The really good thing about this Costco is that he is going to be working evenings after school putting together orders for businesses to pick up the next morning, and get this, they aren't open on the weekends. No more Saturdays or Sundays spent working at Costco, YAY!! I am finalizing things in Nevada to get my Dental Hygiene license so I can start working. I am going to finish all of August in Utah at my job in Heber and then hopefully I will have my Nevada license to find a good job. We found a place to live on our first trip down. It is in Henderson, and it is in a gated community with pools, and workout facilities, so we are really excited about it. Well more to come soon with pictures of our new place, and more of our upcoming events.

BIG NEWS....

We are moving! (I know a lot of you thought I was going to say I am pregnant, but no I am not, sorry) Anyway, Dave got into the MHA (Master's of Health Care Administration) program at UNLV. He begins in about a month, so we are moving really quick. We are really excited, but just trying to get everything in order to move, so we are kind of stressed out right now. Just wanted to give an update of our exciting happenings!

Disneyland 2009

Dave and I went to Disneyland again!! We planned it for my graduation, and this time Dave's parents came with us! We had so much fun! We were there for 5 days. We had quite the adventure getting to our hotel though. Our super shuttle dropped us off at the wrong hotel and even after telling him that I KNEW that wasn't our hotel (it was so scary looking) he still left us there. So after going to the front desk and actually confirming that we really didn't have reservations there (huge relief) we denied the guys offer to call us a cab and walked about 1-1/2 miles to our hotel with our luggage. We didn't even care walking, we just wanted to get out of there. So after that adventure we spent 5 adventurous days at the happiest place on earth and had a ball!! The picture above was awesome to take. We saw Mr. and Mrs. Incredible and just had to get a picture with them because we were them for Halloween. When it was our turn I told them that we were them for Halloween and they high fived us and then Mr. Incredible stopped our picture taking, tapped me on the shoulder, and pointed at Mrs. incredible trying to tell me to pose like her. Thus, the awesome picture above. Here is a slide show of our time!

Mommy in Arkansas

So this past week I was able to go to Arkansas and babysit my sister's kids while her and her hubby were on a cruise. I had so much fun and I miss those kids so much already, really though, I have already been crying about missing them. Anyways, I didn't get too many pictures because we were always so busy running to and from school, playing, getting sno cones, or just watching a movie. I am in Arkansas right now watching my sister's kids while her and her husband are on a cruise so more updates to come later! I was just way to excited and had to shout it from the rooftops!! Graduation....I am officially done with school!!

Well Monday the 27th was my graduation! I honestly cannot even believe I made it. Looking back it really has went by so fast! I have had a very crazy week since graduation. I have had all of my state boards to be able to be a licensed practicing hygienist. I had a written anesthesia board and a clinical anesthesia board (Dave was kind enough to be my patient to poke) on Thursday, both of which I passed!! And also on Thursday our school received the results of our national written board and our entire class passed!! Today, I had my dental hygiene clinical board. Lets just say it has been a long day, but I feel good about it and I am officially done. Now I just get to play the waiting game, because it takes about 4 wks to get the results from today's test. Once I get the results, I will be able to apply for my license and start working as a hygienist, I am so excited. Thanks to all of those who have been there to support me through my school journey...especially Dave....but WE MADE IT!!

Last weekend Dave and I had Jex, Stella, and Isaac over for a sleepover. We had a lot of fun! I made pizza for dinner and then we went bowling. Jex won and Stella was a close second. I forgot to take pictures when we were bowling but we went for ice cream afterwards and I got a few pictures then.

On Monday it was my 23rd birthday. My friends brought balloons and a cake to school, and then took me to lunch and gave me a gift certificate for a mani and pedi...what great friends. Then that night Dave invited all the fam over for cake and ice cream. I forgot to get a picture of the cake from Dave but it was a graduation and birthday cake. Dave gave me a bunch of clothes...just what a girl wants...what a great husband!!

I am a little late on this post but March 31st was Dave's 27th birthday! On the Saturday before his birthday, I was lucky enough to find last minute tickets to the Jazz vs. Suns game. It was so much fun, the Jazz ended up winning by 5 in overtime. Then on Dave's birthday (Tuesday), I woke up early before school to make him french toast and eggs and to open a few present. That night Dave had to decide were he wanted to go and eat and he chose Golden Corral. After eating we went home to an ice cream cake from Maggie Moo's. It was cake batter ice cream with health bar in it. Here are some pictures, enjoy!

It has been quite some time since we have updated and I was reminded by a friend I am overdue for an update. (Thanks Brandt) My last few months have been very focused on school. I practically live at the library on the weekends. My big national board written is coming up this Tuesday and all of my time has went into studying. Dave has just been working, applying for grad school, and trying to help keep me sane will all of the stress I am feeling right now. He has been amazing to put up with me through all of this though. He always has a shoulder for me to cry on and he has been the grocery shopper, house cleaner, laundry doer, you name it, for the last few months. What a great husband!! So just wanted to give a little update, no pictures of anything exciting, but I promise better updates will come soon, as soon as I feel like I am a little bit back to normal! Thanks to all of those who have been a support to me through school! Wish me luck!!!

Tubing for Kristin's Birthday

We went tubing in Park City at Gorgoza park for Kristin's birthday! It was SO COLD but so much fun!! It is one of those tubing places that they have the thing that pulls you up the hill-that is definitely my type of tubing. On our way home we stopped in Heber at ate at a place called Spin Cafe. It is a BBQ place and it was so good. They also have gelato that they make and it was delicious. We definitely want to go back to both places.

The BEST New Years ever!!

Dave and I went to my brother-in-law Jared's cabin this year for New Years eve. It is in Timberlakes which is above Heber. It was SO much fun. The road right outside of the cabin gets completely covered in snow and they don't plow the road so we went sledding on it. You get going around 25 miles an hour and we went at night so it was dark. It was a blast. We sledded for around 3 hours before going inside to watch the ball drop. After celebrating the new year we played games for a bit and then went to bed. The next morning we wanted to sled again before heading to Payson for our New Years lunch and it was crazy to actually see how fast you get going and realize that you did all of that in the dark. Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas spent with family and each other! We woke up around 6:45 because I couldn't handle it anymore (yes, I still can't sleep on Christmas) and we opened our presents together. Some of the highlights were clothes, pepper spray, shoes, watch, movies, games, and I got Dave a new wedding ring because his old one became too big after losing weight and could not be resized. After getting ready for the day we headed to Dave's parents for their Christmas breakfast with all the fixins plus ice cream shakes. YUM! After hanging out with Dave's family, we headed to Payson were we hung out with my family and played with my sister's new kitten that is SO cute!! We also went and saw The Curious Case of Benjiman Button that night with my family. After the movie we went back to Dave's and spent the night at his Grandmas house. All in all it was a very good Christmas.

Christmas in SLC

I never know what to get Dave for Christmas, so I usually plan a trip to go stay in SLC. This year I booked some massages for both of us and they were amazing. After our massages we headed to our hotel to check-in. We stayed at the Little America which was really nice!! Later that night we had a reservation at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Dave has been wanting to go here for a really long time and we found out that because of the economy the one in SLC is closing in January, so we decided to hit it up before it closed. It was really yummy. I had lobster bisque, a filet steak that was SO YUMMY, with potatoes and spinach, and Dave had scallops, with a filet steak, with potatoes and spinach. We got a free dessert to share, and decided on the caramelized banana cream pie. It was really yummy as well. After dinner we wanted to go to temple square but decided it was way too cold and windy. We decided to go back to the room and go swimming. The hotel has an indoor/outdoor pool (see picture) and it was really fun to swim inside and then under a sheet to the outdoor in the freezing cold, yet the pool was really warm. The next morning we took advantage of the workout room before blowing our workout at the really good breakfast buffet at the hotel. Before going home we decided to stop by the Gateway. That trip was soon ruined by the BLOWING wind pelting our faces. We stayed for about 10 minutes before deciding just to head home before the storm got worse. All in all we had a really fun trip.

Santa Lucia

About one week ago Dave woke me up early on the weekend to celebrate Santa Lucia. What is Santa Lucia you ask? Well Dave told me that it is a Swedish holiday to get the town ready and excited that Christmas is coming. A little girl goes around the town dressed in a white dress with a wreath with lit candles on her head, singing and bringing pastries and hot drink to everyone in the town. Dave's family celebrated it while growing up and decided to introduce it to me this year. It was lots of fun. He woke me up and took me out to the kitchen where he had candles lit, doughnuts to eat, and yummy mint truffle hot chocolate to drink. I think that this might be a new tradition.

Christmas Tree / belated pumpkin carving

It has been quite awhile since we have posted anything. We put up our Christmas tree over Thanksgiving break and took some pictures so we could post them. I love this time of the year, listening to Christmas music, decorating the tree, and spending time with family.

Also, Dave and I carved pumpkins quite some time ago, but I forgot to post the pictures, so I decided to include them here.

Halloween was "Incredible"

Dave has really wanted to be Mr. and Mrs. Incredbile (Elastigirl) for Halloween since last year. We went online to find the costumes and found the best ones.
On Monday we went to a Halloween party at Dave's sisters house. It was lots of fun. Most of Dave's family was there and we got to see all of the kids' costumes. Here is a slide show from that party.

On Halloween night we had a party at our apartment. It was lots of fun! We ended up having around 16 people over. We ate sweet chili in pumpkin bread bowls, corn muffins, and frosted sugar cookies. We also watched Nightmare Before Christmas and Ghostbusters. Here are the pictures from our party.

The Goo Goo Dolls

My soon to be brother-in-law, Jared, works for NuSkin and they just had their big covention up at the Salt Palace. Well for the close of the convention they had the Goo Goo dolls come and perform. Jared and Kristin invited Dave and I to go and let me tell you it was one of the best concerts I have ever been to!! We ended up having a really great spot right to the side of the stage! I forgot how many of their songs I love! It made me want to come home and buy all their songs for my Ipod. It was a really fun night with Kristin and Jared and we are so happy they invited us to go. Funny story. A few weeks ago Dave and I were in the airport in Las Vegas and some lady thought I was Jenny McCarthy. Random...but I took it as a compliment. Anyway, today I was at school and we were in clinic working on patients and one of the girl's patient walked past me and was like "that girl looks exactly like Jenny McCarthy." Thats twice within two weeks. Let me know what you all think.

Arkansas!

We had SO much fun in Arkansas. We went to the zoo, a baseball game, swimming, ate tons of yummy food, went and got yummy snocones (wedding cake with whip cream!), had a birthday bash for Isaac, and pretty much just had fun being with Andrea, Jonathan, Jex, Stella, and Isaac!! There home is so pretty and we really enjoyed seeing their life in Arkansas and we were glad we could be a part of it. We are also proud to have the award of being their first Arkansas visitors. Go Bee's Baseball!

Last night we went to a Bee's Baseball game with Dave's brother Jason and his wife Lorelei and their little boy Christian. It was tons of fun. They played the Tucsan Sidewinders and ended up winning them 8-2. It was awesome. We went all out and did the whole baseball park food with nachos and ice cream (and of course Dave went and got 2 hotdogs, they were on for $1 though). I wish Dave and I had more time to go and do more fun things like this. I really enjoy it when we get to spend time together. PS...if your wondering what is on our nose in some of the pictures, Dave went and grabbed free stuff at a radio booth before the game and we opened them up and they were clown noses...lol.

Jack Johnson Concert

On Monday night Dave and I went to the Jack Johnson concert with a friend from school and her husband. It was tons of fun. I can't believe how many people were there. It was at the USANA amphitheater and the grass was completely covered in blankets. Here are some pictures and a video.

Salt Lake County Fair

So it is time for an update and I have posted a few things we have done in the past two weeks. One thing we did was go to the Salt Lake County Fair to watch Whitney and Jesse show their pigs. They both did really well and we enjoyed watching them. Whitney ended up taking 3rd in the showmanship category.

We had quite a bit of down time between the time they showed their pigs and then when they brought them back for showmanship, so Dave and I went walking around the fair. Well, we found a petting zoo and decided to go and feed a few of the animals. Don't worry we wash well after coming out of here, it was fun though.

I am glad we could go and watch Whitney and Jesse show their pigs. It reminded me of all of the things I was involved in when I was young, and I was always happy when people in my family could be there for me. Good job Whitney and Jesse, we are proud of you!

FRIED CHICKEN!!

So Dave's grandma Ina makes the best fried chicken ever, and we have been telling her forever that we wanted to come and have her teach us. She always told us anytime we wanted to come, she would. So finally we chose a day and had a fried chicken lesson. It was so much fun and we cooked SO much chicken (for only like 6 people eating-we did pretty well though). Anyway, it turned out so yummy and we had such a great time with his grandma. I took so many notes to get the recipe just like she does it (which will probably never compare) and we also got to look through a book she had written about her parents and learn more about her. Thanks Ina for such a great day!! We love you!

August 3rd...Christian and my dad's birthday!

So on August 3rd, Dave and I went with his parents and grandma to Kaysville to Jason and Lorelei's new home. It was Christian's 2nd birthday so we had dinner and celebrated. Here are some pictures.

Fiesta Days Parade and Rodeo! YEE HAW!

For the 24th of July I went to the Fiesta Days celebration. Dave, me and my two besties (Jess and Ali) went to the parade in the morning with Daves family. Dave had to go to work after but me, Jess, and Ali made a girls day out of it and got pedicures, then we went to my grandmas for a BBQ with my family. It was some yummy food and we were starving.

Later that night, my mom and I went to the rodeo!! It was a lot of fun! Troy Lerwill (the wild child) was the entertainment and I just think he is so funny. Anyway, we didn't stay for the bulls (our favorite part) because by ten o'clock there was at least another hour left and I had some more finals in the morning. All and all it was an eventful day though. Dave and I didn't take any pictures together but I am glad he was able to atleast come to the parade. I am also glad that I was able to show my friends how to celebrate the 24th of July because neither of them are from Utah.

This year for the fourth, Dave and I went to Schofield with my family. My parents weren't able to go, but my grandparents, cousins, and Kristin and Jared were there. It was a lot of fun. We basically just hung out, played games, ate food, went on a fourwheeler ride, and walked around on the little booths for schofield days. Also, on the 2nd, I chopped my hair off. I had my friend Kallie do it, and I love it! She really did a good job! Let me know what ya think. Anyways here are a few pictures of the 4th fun!

Happy Father's Day! Just wanted to do a post about our dads. I love my dad so much and could not have asked for a better father and example. He is so good to me. He is one of my best friends and I look up to him! I love you dad! Also, to Dave's dad, what a great example too. I want to thank him for raising Dave into such a wonderful person and for the things that you instilled in him. We love you! Thanks to two of the best dads ever! I was tagged by my cousin Elise to do this, so here it goes..
If you could go back and tell your teenage self one thing, what would it be? Life really begins after high school
Did you do any extra curricular activities in high school? I was on cheer all 3 years. I also did debate one year.

What did you do with your free time? I didn't really have that much free time, my weekends always consisted of a game to cheer at and I worked at the Sleeze through high school.

Coolest thing you did as a teenager. Just being a teenager pretty much. The games, the dances, the not having to worry about having a job and money, etc.

Did you have a boyfriend in high school? Yeah, but nothing to great to talk about because it wasn't Dave, and Dave is the only one that matters.

Songs that come to mind: Honestly the only songs I can think of are all the ones to get you pumped up at basketball games and then the songs we danced to for cheer, lol

If you could change one thing, what would it be? I probably would have taken more college classes, and probably wouldn't have had a steady boyfriend...I should have just had more fun with the girls and meeting more people.

What did you think you would be when you grew up? I wanted to either be a nurse or a dental hygienist. I definitely took the right route!!

Craziest thing you did in high school-pretty boring, but I can't think of anything way crazy. There was one night that a bunch of us were out in by the wendy's in west mountain area, and there is a railroad track that no longer has trains run on it. Anyways we walked on the track for about a mile to a big red bridge that is really tall and scary looking and looks like it is going to collapse at anytime. Not very crazy, but we had fun.

My mom and the Governor...

So my mom cooked lunch for Governor John Hunstman a week or so ago. I think he was in Payson to sign some water bill or something. Anyway, of course he had to stop at the best place in Payson to get some yummy food. My mom was able to sneak away from the grill for a minute and get a picture. They just posted them on the Governor's website, so I thought I would download it and be a proud daughter.

Thank you for being you. I could not have asked for a better mom and I don't know how I got to be so lucky. You are my best friend and I know you are always there when I need someone to talk to. I only hope that I can be as good of a mom when Dave and I have kids. You are a wonderful grandma and I am so excited that my kids will get to have such a woman as their grandma. My 22nd Birthday....old?...nah!

My 22nd birthday was spent at my mom's house. It was on a Sunday, so we went to church and then stopped at Dave's parents and then headed to Payson for dinner, cake and ice cream and games. Early tomorrow morning we head to Disneyland with my parents...YAH!! I am so excited! Here are just a few pictures from the day with family. This picture is Kristin and me posing for the camera.
